tempus fugate.... Oct 24th, 2007

Can it be, so much time has elapsed since my last entry.  My cretive life continues, it transmorphs into various areas.   Blah, blah....
The big news is that Jeffrey and I went to Ibiza for three glorious weeks and reconnected with our roots....While there I made only one new piece, a wonderful necklace in which I hand wove the cord with eight strands of silveer/grey conso nylon enveloping a Large white Naga shell in the front with smaller shell discs and old silver beads in the neck area.  Read more about this...

metal arts- sculpture Nov 25th, 2006

As a young person, late teens early twenties, I sculpted, using clay.  It felt like such a good fit for me.  I'd wanted to sculpt earlier as an adolescent and did make some attempts, but later on, being on my own, I could pursue this with independence.  Read more about this...

Show Biz Jul 2nd, 2006

A wonderful thing happened recently.  I got to my "Artifacts" studio one moring recently and there I saw a fax waiting for me.  It was from a San Francisco film director's office.  In preparation for a new independent film he was making, they needed a piece of jewelry; a pendant to be exact.  Read more about this...

Entry, entry, entry Mar 1st, 2006

For so long I kept a journal, so I thought, writing a blog would be a natural progression on that effort.  NOT.  I haven't even entered a note into my journal for over a year, so WHAT was I thinking with this blog business?  I feel so much of my time is taken with jewelry design and even more so, the promotion and selling of my work.  Read more about this...

Jeffrey and I needed to get away for a spell. We originally had tickets for Cozumel and Akumal, rebooked many months before.  Actually the background to that story is.....last year we had this trip planned to Cozumel and Akumal, for October 2004.  Everything was in order.  Read more about this...

later; like August Aug 15th, 2005

This blogging thing is something to be reckoned with for a semi cyber phobe like myself.  I've kept a journal in the past, though it's lagged for sometime now, so how can I possibly keep up blogging?  The idea that keeps me coming back is that it's a record for me, for you, for us of my metal smithing/jewelry making life.  Read more about this...

Life = Art + Life Jun 22nd, 2005

What happens for me, as an artist is that my life, my work, my family all meld into one existence. It's not "I'm going to work", it's life encompasses my work daily. It's almost impossible to see the boundries of one aspect of oneself when in my mind I am always creating and thinking of ways to express myself.  Read more about this...

long winded bezels May 9th, 2005

One of my toilsome tasks is soldering a big bezel.  I get myself stuck in setting larger stones that I love, but that require alot of bezel wire. The problem is getting it soldered down all the way around.  I know this is a challenge for many metalsmiths, each has their own way and shortcuts to dealing with it.  Read more about this...
